Welcome to LONMA

The Lower Omo Natural Medicine Association (LONMA) is a charitable civic society association registered for unlimited time according to the Ethiopian policy implementation guideline in the 2004 Ethiopian calendar (2011 GC). The organization was established with a legal identification number 857/2004 under the project title  “Sustainable improvement in livelihood and quality of life’’ Support and Research in Natural medicine and Nutrition at Lower Omo, to work in the South Omo Zone of southern Ethiopia. Since the establishment of the organization, LONMA has been actively implementing its sustainable conservation projects on Natural Medicine Practitioners (Traditional Healers) and components of Natural Medicine including conservation projects on Medicinal Plants of South Omo.
